Who We Are
Core Wrestling is a premier youth developmental organization based in South Hill, Washington, dedicated to forging "The Complete Athlete." Operating out of the wrestling room at Stahl Junior High, Core Wrestling serves athletes ages 6 to 14 by integrating the technical rigors of Folkstyle wrestling with a specialized curriculum centered on three pillar values: Discipline, Resilience, and Humility. Unlike traditional "win-at-all-costs" programs, Core Wrestling is built on the belief that the mat is a laboratory for leadership, designed to produce young men and women who are as capable in their communities as they are in competition. The organization is founded and led by a career U.S. Army officer with 15 years of leadership and management experience. This military background provides the backbone of the club’s operational excellence and its "character-first" philosophy. By merging the Army’s proven leadership development models with a deep background in child development, Core Wrestling offers a training environment that is structured, safe, and high-intensity. We recognize that while physical talent is common, the mental fortitude to remain humble in victory and resilient in defeat is rare. Our mission is to cultivate that rarity through disciplined, intentional coaching.
